Something I would encourage *everyone* to do is to read the first two paragraphs of the "gang of four" Design Patterns book, Chapter 1, Introduction. I thought it would be an interesting exercise to try and port each of the patterns described in the Gang of Four's seminal work Design Patterns: Elements of Reusable Object-Oriented Software into C#. The Gang of Four (GoF)(from Design Patterns: Elements of Reusable Object-Oriented Software, Addison-Wesley Professional Computing Series, by Erich Gamma, Richard Helm, Ralph Johnson, and John Vlissides). These code smells are described by Micah and Robert Martin in their book Agile Principles, Patterns, and Practices in C# on page 104. Between objects that have been adapted to deal with certain forces can be observed both in the "real world" and in software objects. The examples follow in sections 2 through 4. I'd recommend the GoF Design patterns : elements of reusable object-oriented software over the Head First Design Patterns book in this case, I think it simply had more information.
